1、 How to choose elastic bands
Elastic belts are generally divided into two types: rubber elastic belts and latex elastic belts. Rubber elastic bands are made of synthetic rubber, and if the rubber content is small, the quality is difficult to guarantee. Often, the elastic band has poor elastic recovery rate, and quality problems such as elastic relaxation may occur soon after use. The commonly used latex elastic belts now use latex as the core wire, and their quality indicators such as service life, elasticity, elongation, and recovery rate are better than rubber elastic belts. Currently, the latex used for core wires is imported from abroad.
To identify rubber elastic belts and latex elastic belts, simply take apart the head and look inside. The cross-section of the rubber core inside is circular, which is latex, while the square core is generally rubber, regardless of the color of the rubber core.
2、 Sewing of elastic bands
During the sewing process of elastic belts, be careful not to stick them together with the fabric, as this can easily cut off the latex in the elastic belt during the sewing process of the sewing machine. The service life of the elastic belt is shortened, and the fabric and elastic belt are sewn together, seriously affecting the use function of the elastic belt. Therefore, elastic bands should have a relaxed space inside the clothing, fully exerting their elasticity, elongation, and retraction effects, and extending their service life.
